Why This Brand Exists

Years ago, I lost a job role I thought defined my purpose.

I won't dress that up. It was disorienting in ways I didn't expect. When you build your identity around what you do and then that thing is gone the silence that follows is loud. I didn't handle it perfectly. I didn't pivot cleanly into the next chapter. I sat with it. I questioned things. I had days where the discipline I preached felt far away.

But in that season, something became clearer than it had ever been when things were going well:

Principles don't need you to be performing well to be true.

They are there on the days you show up strong. And they are there on the days you barely show up at all. That's not a weakness, that's actually the point. A reminder only matters to someone who needs reminding.

That's why Toshay exists.

Not for the person who has it figured out. For the person who is still figuring it out and choosing, today, to keep going. The one who failed last week and is back at it this week. The one who knows exactly what their flaws are, and wears a principle on their chest not as a trophy, but as a declaration of intent.

My wife (Eniye) and I realise that we are that person. We built this brand because we need it.

What We Believe

Real growth doesn't come from motivation or noise. It comes from living with clarity, structure, and purpose, not because those things come naturally, but because you choose them on the days they don't.

We are a Christian brand. That is not a footnote, it is the foundation everything else is built on. And part of that foundation is this: grace exists because we need it. Not as an excuse to stay where we are. As the reason we can get back up.

We don't make T Shirts for people who have arrived. We make T Shirts for people in the process, the ones accepting grace, picking things back up, and moving forward anyway. That is the most honest version of growth there is.

Our designs reflect that in three layers. Most speak the language of everyday life, discipline, consistency, purpose, principles anyone can wear regardless of where they are in the journey. Some carry a deeper thread, visible to those paying attention. A small number are explicitly rooted in scripture, released for those who are ready for them.

Some will connect with the principles. Others will recognise the foundation beneath them. Both are welcome here. Neither is an accident.

Who This Is For

This is not for the person who has it all together.

It is for the person who is choosing, today, not to quit. The one who failed last month and showed up again this month. The one who is afraid of not being enough, of repeating old patterns, of what people will think, and is doing the work anyway.

The shirt is not a claim. It is a reminder.

Not "I have arrived."
But "This is who I am becoming. And I am not done yet."
